Roman (J-ⅺ c.) – Commander of Skopje at the time of Samuel. After Samuel’s defeat from Vasily ⅱ of the r. Vardar near Skopje (1003/1004), Roman handed the keys from the city to the Byzantine King, who received benevolent and awarded the title Patricia and Service of Abidos. Lit.: S.
