Reizovski, Damyan

Reizovski, Damjan (about 1770 – 1834) – Protomistor. He built churches in the surroundings of Thessaloniki and the villages of Ovce Pole and Gevgelija. In Bulgaria he built in Samokov and Plovdiv. His most important work is the cathedral church “St. The Virgin “in Skopje, which ended his sons (in 1835). It sets the foundations of the Renaissance sacred architecture in Macedonia. It is represented for the synthesis of the domestic tradition with non-ordained and unavoidable forms that is accepted and developed by its sons Andreja and Costa. Church “St. The Virgin “is destroyed in fire (1944), its reconstruction was started in 2004. Except with architecture, he also dealt with painting.
