Arsovski, Pance Krstev

Arsovski, Pance Krstev (Skopje, 1922 – 13. Xi 1944) – worker, political and military head. Originated from a teacher family. After the elementary school, he studied the shafrary craft. As a Mandiff, he became a member of Ursa Trade Unions (1938) and a member of the Board of the Trade Union branch office of leather workers (1939 – late 1940). He was one of the organizers of the music section of KUD “Abrasevic”. After the April war (1941) he was admitted to a candidate member, and soon a member of the CPY and head of the party cell of leather workers (June 1941). Since the work of KUD “Abrasevic” was banned, was one of the initiators for the establishment of the Music Society “Macedonia” (end of June 1941), which from the maintained performances collected material funds for folk aid. Party acted in Skopje villages. After one action he was arrested (September 1941) and sentenced to three years and four months, and he served the prison sentence in Skopje prison and Pleven and Varna (Bulgaria). After returning (March 1944), continued the party activity and entered the units of New and Pom (June 1944). Soon he was appointed political commissioner in the third battalion of the Twelfth Macedonian (Skopje) but Brigade (September 1944). As a shot group commander in the fighting for the liberation of Skopje, he was wounded and died in street fighting.
