Lape, Ljuben

Lip, Ljuben (Prilep, 11. ⅹ 1910 – Skopje, 24. Xi 1985) – Historian, UNIV. Professor, MANU member. He was educated in Prilep and Belgrade, where he completed history studies. He was a history professor at the Podgorian High School. After the capitulation of Yugoslavia (IV 1941) returned to Macedonia (Prilep). During the Bulgarian occupation, he was a professor in Strumica, and then he was moved to the Panurishte (Bulgaria). He was taken to the Chuculovo camp (April 1943). After the capitulation of Bulgaria (in autumn 1944) he was released, returned to Macedonia and was appointed to manage the enlightenment in the Bitola area. He was assistant to the Trustee for Education (from January 1945), became one of the founders of the Faculty of Philosophy (1946), at the Pedagogical Academy (1947), at the Institute of National History (1948), the Archives of Macedonia, the Society of Historians of Macedonia etc. He was director of the Institute of National History (1952-1956), one of the rafters and editor of “The Vanja” and the SP. “History”. He was a full professor of the subject history of the Macedonian people (new century) of the undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the teaching group for history, mentor of MPs and PhD students and gave a special contribution to the construction of teaching-scientific staff for historical science. He is the author of more than 200 scientific and professional papers dedicated to the history of the Macedonian people (ⅹⅴⅰⅰⅰ-ⅹⅹ c.).
