Concentration camps in Bulgaria

Concentration camps in Bulgaria (1941-1944) – camps formed with the Decree of the Ministry of Interior and People’s Health (31. 1941), confirmed by the Council of Ministers (26. ⅱ 1941), named “Courtures of state security”. Bulgarian concentration camps from German differed only in that there were no crematories, gas chambers, no medical experiments were carried out over the camp-old Macedonian internist in Bulgarian concentration camps and there was no massive shooting. Famous camps in Bulgaria were: Anni-Koy, Gunda Water, St. Nicholas, Chuchulovo, the island of St. Anastasia, in Haskovsko (village Todorovci), etc. Many Macedonian national activities and revolutionaries were interned in them.
