Caval -. It is a rich ornamented wooden tube, open at both ends. It is made from the yasen wood, most often in three lengths: 600, 700 and 800 mm. On the front there is 7 melodic openings and one on the back for thumb. The traditional practice is regularly music – simultaneously from two (chip) cavali. It was usually played when keeping sheep and other cattle. Solifier music is practiced, but the cavals were often companions of folk songs. Due to the soft lyric paint, the caval is one of the most co-caval the native Macedonian folk instruments (Open as a “Medasav”).
