Dalkalchev, Hristo

Dalkalchev, Hristo (village Vlodovo, Voden, 1878 – Sofia, after 1944) – Educational and national Dean, UNIV. Professor. He finished the spiritual seminary in the king-city, and then as the chief teacher in Gevgelija was Head of MK of TMORO. He maintained written contacts with the Vets of the Duke Sava Mihailov and the apostle Petkov Terziev. With the intention of studying medicine, at the time of the Bahal affair (1902), Bulgaria emigrated to S.-Petersburg, and then, for health reasons, enrolled at the Medical Faculty in Kiev. He was a particularly active member of the TMok. After the First World War, he was elected a member of the seven-member neutral unified commission to overcome the division of Macedonian emigration in Bulgaria (24. ⅶ 1919). Referring the Verthism, along with other 62 delegates, demonstratively abandoned the second major gathering of the Macedonian fraternities and the Executive Committee (18. 1920) and entered into the newly established temporary commission of the Macedonian emigration in Bulgaria. He was also a member of the leadership of the Macedonian emigrant Federal Organization (MEFO). He advocated “Macedonia for Macedonians as a fully independent political unit from the Balkan states, which guarantees absolute equal rights of all ethnic elements that they inhabit.” He completed him as a university professor in Bulgaria.
