City Trigonometric Networks in Macedonia – The growing needs for realization of complex urban and communal efforts in cities have imposed the need to develop much better geodetic networks, called City Ski Trigonometric Networks (GTM). Concepts for developing, measuring and leveling of the GTM are contained in the Rulebook on State Survey ⅱ-a, part – city trigonometric networks; Since 1956 The GTM cover the area of the wider city region and develop in the form of a triangles network, with a length of 1 to 4 km, without mutual diagonal connections. They are projected in a local coordinate system, and then fit into the state coordinate system. The first GTM was performed in Skopje in 1959. Then, until 1968, a conceptually more modern way, GTM was developed first in Stip, Oh-hill and Struga, and today, GTM have almost all major settlements in the Republic of Macedonia. R. Rib.
