High-mountain endemics in the flora of the Republic of Macedonia. Endemism is one of the most important features of the Flora of the Republic of Macedonia, with the presence of 117 local endemics that are exclusively limited to its territory. Developed at various habitats – after high-mountain pastures and rocky, after river gorges, forests, hill pastures, etc. Highland endemics meet almost all our mountain massifs. At the time of the glaciation, the conditions for their survival were unfavorable because the top mountain masses were under ice, but, however, many of the old relict and endemic tertiary species managed to hold in numerous shelters (refugium), in which more favorable Terms. The largest number of mountain and high-mountain endemics and subdemitimites are present on Mount Galicica (15) – Astragalus horses, bundurum horses, Centurea Tomorovi, Critsus Zvias, Diancus Galicot, Economy Horms, Feist Galicotje, Helicitzkrius Zivoshini, Zibridanum and others; Shar Planina (10) – Croorsus Szzardzus, Diannchus Szazardzus, Posetila Dierflers, Verbaszum Szardzolum, Viola Scharrisis and others; Pelister (4) – Alzhemilla Peristerica, Croorsus Pelescoritsus, Dianchate Botermius, Cempervian Octopodes; Neki-Kajmakcalan (3) – Diannchus Kayactzalanzus, Pauchedanum Laventiadis, silent hormats; Jakupica (5) – a severe mascusum Macydonitsum, Peditsuvalis Ferninandi, Semperviube Machadonic, Tzhamus Caradzicensis, Viola Bornamellerie and others.
