Xhaferi, Arben (Tetovo, 24 and 1948) – a journalist and politician. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy. By 1990 Worked for radio and television stations in Pristina (Kosovo) as chief editor of the cultural program. He was chairman of the Party for Democratic Prosperity of Albanians in Macedonia (from 18. 1995), and then the leader of the Democratic Party of Albanians (by 2007). The second parliamentary elections in the Republic of Macedonia was elected as an independent MP (1994), and then as a DPA MP. It is known for its controversial and radical statements about the state regulation and rights of Albanians in the Republic of Macedonia. For health reasons, withdrew from the active politics (2007).
