Tornitional folk songs – traditional songs for playing dance. In the distant past, they were the only companions of women’s orka games, which were deprived of instrumental escort. It lasted until the emergence of the city orsaly tradition, when playing the plow in a mixed composition with instrumental escort and with parallel joint singing songs of men and women. These were a variety of songs, which are not only related to Orana, but sing and without them. Without exception, all Macedonian tolerant songs are played in mengesal rhythms – older in equilibrium, and city and uneven rhythms, among which is most abundant 7/8 (3,2,2) rhythm, in ethnomusicology known as “rhythm of the Macedonian dance” .
