Temporary consent for normalization of relations between the Republic of Macedonia and WG – bilateral agreement concluded on 13. ⅸ 1995. Among the WG and the Republic of Macedonia from the Foreign Ministers – Karolos Papoulias and Stevo Crvenkovski, as representatives of the first and second party – formulations used instead of the official names of the two countries, in order to avoid the use of the official name of the Republic of Macedonia, due to the Greek-Macedonian dispute about the name discussed within the UN. The temporary consent is the first visible result of the negotiation process between the two countries. It consists of preamble, normative text, composed of five parts, and final provisions. The competence of the International Court of Justice for all differences arising during its implementation and interpretation, except those regarding the name of the Republic of Macedonia. The agreement is precedent from the perspective of the names of the contracting parties (in order to avoid the use of the name of RM).
