Student homes

Student homes – Educational institutions that provide accommodation, nutrition, educational work and learning, cultural, entertainment, sports and recreational life of students who are studying in primary and secondary schools, outside the place of permanent living (Law on Student Standard, 2005 ). Student homes are established with the task of contributing to which more complete scope of children and young people in primary and secondary education and provide a more rational network of primary and secondary schools. They are organized as a public student home (municipal, the city of Skopje and a state) and a private home. In Macedonia there are 22 public schools at home in secondary education (15 organized as independent institutions and 7 in schools) and 10 in primary education (all part of the primary schools). Apart from these, there are 10 home intended for students with special needs. The activity and educational work in student homes is executed according to the program, which on the proposal of (c.) The Bureau of Education is adopted by the line minister. Student homes are also known as internalities. The first forms of home care and upbringing in Macedonia, if overlook (c.) Monastery cellary schools, occur in the second half of ⅹⅰⅹ c., Under the name boarding houses. For the first such institution, the boarding house is considered (the internal) set up at the Thessalonian Male High School, and then at the women’s high school.
