Stojanovski, Aleksandar (Kumanovo, 11. 1929 – Skopje, 19. ⅴ 2009) – Historian – Turkologist. He graduated from the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje and was employed at the Institute of National History, in the Department of the Ottoman and Turkish period (1955). Doctorate on the topic “Dervlessness in Macedonia” (1963). He was improving archival research in Istanbul, Ankara, Paris, Sofia and Sarajevo, participated in several congresses and symposia in the country and abroad and was a member of the editions of several scientific journals and collections. Translator is more volumes Turkish documents for the history of the Macedonian people from ⅹⅴ and ⅹⅴⅰ c., He is the author of several monographs and articles from the history of Macedonia in the Ottoman period and the chief editor and author of the second volume of the history of the Macedonian people.
