Kinship – culturally defined relationships between individuals, usually established through familial ties, but also through kinship with marriage or milk. In the kinship of marriage or the meeting there is social association through two figures, which connect all members of their narrower and wider families. Kinship by milk, however, is a spiritual kinship, resulting from the acquaintance of a newborn child by another woman, not from his mother. C. P.
