Smoque, Gligor

Smoque, Gligor (village of Budinarci, Berovo, 8. V1914 – Skopje, 15. ⅲ 1974) – Composer. Representative of the second generation of Macedonian composers. He was educated at the Music Music in Vrsac. First of all, clarinetist in the symphonic orchestra, and then composer and pedagogue. In the history of Macedonian music, he will remain noticed as author of the first Macedonian ballet “Macedonian Sweat” (1952). In addition, he wrote another series of orchestral composigligor, and other works, fifty compositions for chamber compositions, choral ensembles, as well as many processing of folk songs for a symphony orchestra. He wrote music for a movie. He also dealt with a melography of folk songs. In his work, it was mainly inspired by the rich Macedonian folklore.
