Melon. (Tsuzim Mello L.) – a one-year plant from FAM. Tsutsurbitacea. It originates from Africa, with us transmitted through Turkey and Greece. It is grown due to the mature fruit, which contains sugars (10-22%), mineral substances, vitamins and organic acids. It is grown in the open and in protected areas of about 2,500 ha, with total production of about 30,000 t. Two types of varieties are represented: Adana (wounds) and Casaba (late). D. J. 1
