Edonia – an ancient area between the mouth of the r. Strimate and r. Nest, inhabited by Edom and Pepries, who, at the time when the Macedonian state is spread, move from Pieria (Termian Bay) at the foot of PL. Pangai. This area is rich in ore wealth, wood lumber, goods, grain and fish. Before the conquest of Philip ⅱ (357), Hellenian colonists lived in many cities.
