Corinthian peace

Corinthian Peace (Corinth, Helada, 337 eg.) – concluded between the Macedonian King Philip ⅱ Macedonian and ten Hellenic policies. With the provisions of the agreement, Hellenic policies pledged to preserve peace, the Macedonian Kingdom was recognized for Hegemon of the Herenes, and they were guaranteed autonomy, but with a ban on violent arrangement, with a new redistribution of the country, deprivation of debts, release of Slaves, expulsion of political opponents, confiscation of properties, return of political refugees, entry into service of foreign countries, association in alliances and mutual struggles. Hellenic policies did not have an obligation to pay taxes on the Macedonian kingdom. A guarantee of compliance with the agreement was the four strategic military bases of the Macedonian army (the Taban Fortress Kadmea, Akronorinth, Ambky and Halkida on the island of Evbo). In the sources, it is known as “Eirenne (shared peace). Only representatives of Sparta were present. Two pieces of it have been preserved – part of the oath and the list of policies with the ordinous numbers. This agreement provided the peace requirement and joint focus of the common enemy – Persia.
