Brezoski, Slavko

Brezoski, Slavko (Galichnik, 10. ⅵ 1922) – Architect. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical High School in Belgrade (1950). Worked in the design organization “Designer” (1950-1961), “Pelagonija” (1961-1963) and “Macedonia Project” (1963-1966); Abroad: in Brazil (1962-1963) and Libya (1966-1969). Professor is at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje at the Department of Architectural Designing – Social Buildings (1970-1987). Participate in several domains of architectural creation – design, education, scientific research work and publicity. His architectural opus consists of numerous projects and realizations with a wide programming range and a different architectural expression. A supporter is modern, and in some projects are also inspired by traditional architecture. He participated in several anonymous architectural competitions that he won top awards. It projected and realized several residential buildings in Skopje, Veles, Strumica, Sveti Nikole, etc. His significant realizations are: Communal Bank in Skopje (1955 -1956); Workers’ home in Skopje (1958); The sports hall in the sports center “Crnice” in Skopje (1959); Department store “Skopje” in Skopje (1959); objects of “YugoBank” in Skopje (1960); The building of the SFRY Embassy in Brazil (1960); The hotel “Popova Shapka” of Popova Shapka (1964); The cathedral church “St. Kliment Ohridski “in Skopje (1970); “Mercury-Import” house in Delcevo (1972) and Probistip (1975); The hotels “Neda” in the village.
