Shaban, Azem Reul (village, Struga, 14. ⅹ 1944) – poet, novelist, playwright, translator. He finished elementary education in the native MES, and secondary in Struga. He graduated from the Pedagogical Academy in Skopje (group for Albanian language and literature). He was a teacher in Albanian, and then a journalist and editor of the cultural rubric in the “Flaka”, azem Shaban Ren editor of the SP. “Yehona”, “G’Zimi” and the editorial office for publishing activity. He was a member of the Steering Committee of the SVP and a publishing advisor in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia. Now is the editor-in-chief and director of the publishing house “Sember” in Skopje. He is a member of the Macedonian DPM (1976), of the DPAM, the Penn Center of Macedonia, the Company of the translators of Macedonia, etc. His work was translated into Macedonian and several world languages. It has translated more than 20 titles of Macedonian literature in Albanian language and about 20 headlines from Albanian literature in Macedonian language, including “anthology of Macedonian poetry” from Acad. D. Todorovski in Albanian language and “anthology of Albanian poetry” from Akad. A. Aliu in Macedonian.
