Hini, Shejmas (Mosbon, Northern Ireland, 8. 1939) – Irish poet, essayist and translator, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995. Attention attracts with the first poetic collection Death of the nature of the natural state (1966). He expressed the daily miracles of life in poetry. Other books: Door to Darkness (1969), Prendment (1972), Island of Hodocca (1984), Glogov Lantern (1987) and Major (1991). Wrote and essays. In 2001 He received the Golden Wreath of the SVP. Litt.: B.
