The Mission of the Apostle Paul in Macedonia – First missionary activity of Christianity in Macedonia and in general the European soil (49, 56 and 57). For the preaching of the new religion, the Macedonian population and Jewish settlers, Paul, known as the apostle of the apostles, arrived in Macedonia (49) along with their companions, Timothy and Luke. In Philippi, he founded the first Christian municipality in Macedonia and Europe, whose management here left the evangelist Luke, who precisely in this city and compiled one of the four Gospels representing the basis of Christian learning. Soon, Christian church municipalities in Thessaloniki and Boyena were formed. Later, in the activity for the spread of Christianity, he twice stayed in Macedonia (56 and 57 years). From his 14 showing part of the New Testament, three were sent to Macedonian Christian municipalities – two to Thessalonians (52 and 53, at the time of his stay in Corinth) and one to Philippians (63, from the Roman prison ). In addition, exactly in Philippi he wrote the second message to the Corinthians. AM: Scripture of the old and New Testament, second edition, Skopje, 1991. Lit.: F.
