Ilinden Kayak Slalom – IKAS – International Water Water Cayaker. Kayaking workers in Skopje formed an initial board of 9 members headed by Memed Shakir for the establishment of traditional international kayakar competitions of the wild waters of the Treska River dedicated to Ilinden, the National Holiday of Macedonia (IKAS, 1969). Thanks to quality material and personnel conditions, this international competition is accepted in the annual calendar of the International Kayaking Federation leadership of IKAS (1969) (ICF). These competitions are held 38 times (until 2006), with the participation of kayakers from the Yugoslav republics, from the Balkan and European countries. D. S. “Ilinden road”, NOFM magazine
